Quests For Strength Experience

Strength in runescape used to be the most sought after combat skill for people who wanted to make pure pkers, with very high strength levels and zero defense that would enable them to hit very high damage on other players and give them a huge advantage when they hit successfully.

Nowadays, pure characters are not as effective as they used to be, although many quests in runescape do award strength experience for completing them, it will still help those players who want to pick and choose which quests they want to complete if they want to gain maximum strength experience from questing.

The following runescape quests offer players the chance to get some additional strength experience:

Dragon Slayer - 18,650 strength experience
The Fremennik Trials - 2,800 strength experience
Haunted Mine - 22,000 strength experience
Heroes Quest - 3,075 experience
Horror from the Deep - 4,662 experience
In Aid of the Myreque - 2,000 experience
In Search of the Myreque - 600 experience
Land of the Goblins - 3,000 experience
Monkey Madness - either 20,000 or 30,000 strength experience depending on your choice
The Path of Glouphrie - 30,000 strength experience
Roving Elves - 10,000 experience
Scorpion Catcher - 6,625 experience
Tai Bwo Wannai Trio - 2,500 experience
Troll Romance - 4,000 strength experience
Waterfall Quest - 13,750 strength experience

Overall, Jagex will continue to release new quests and some of these are likely to include strength experience as a reward. Although with the total number of runescape quests in excess of 100, many people may simply want to complete all quests in order to get the quest cape reward.

Runescape Quest Help Update

Jagex have updated the quest help feature of runescape today. They have added an additional 16 quests that players are able to get help with when stuck on a particular quest. The list of quests that have been added are:

Clock Tower
Grand Tree quest
Heroes' Quest
Holy Grail
Jungle Potion
Lost City
Monk's Friend
Observatory
Scorpion Catcher
Sheep Herder
Shilo Village
Temple of Ikov
Tree Gnome Village

Witch's House

Naturally, there are extensive quest guides and walk throughs available for all runescape quests on a number of different help sites. However, this feature within the game enables players who wish to complete quests, without the aid of a full guide, the opportunity to do so.

I will hopefully start to get updating all my runescape blogs again soon and also start to get more work done on my main runescape help site as I have finally made some headway in trying to get my business site lauched. This frees up some time to start focussing on my runescape sites.

Goblin Diplomacy Quest

Items Needed:

Yellow, Blue and Red Dye:
Two Woad Leaves: Obtained from Wyson the Gardener in Falador.
Two Onions: Found near Fred the Farmer in Lumbridge.
Three Red Berries: Found in the Forest South of Varrock.
Three Goblin Armours: Kill Goblins or buy in a general store if you're lazy.

Start:

Talk to the Bartender in Port Sarim.

Quest Walkthrough:

Talk to the witch in draynor village to make the dyes from the ingredients.
TIP: Be sure to have all Items needed in your Inventory prior to continuing.
Talk to General Wartface and say you will help him. Mix the Yellow and Red Dye to make Orange Dye. Use the Blue Dye on one Goblin Armour and the Orange Dye on the other; leaving the third its original Colour.
Return to the Wartface and talk to their Leader concerning each colour.

Congratulations! Quest Complete!

Reward:

One Gold Bar
200 Crafting Experience

Runescape Quest: Ernest the Chicken

Ernest the Chicken quest on runescape is an interesting adventure but one that doesn't really do anything for me. I have completed it, but only done that to ensure I finished all the free to play runescape quests.

Anyway, here are the quest outline details - and a list of places where the quest walkthrough can be accessed should any player need further help.

Ernest the Chicken Runescape Quest Requirements:
Start: Begin by speaking to Veronica outside Draynor Manor.
Skills: None!
Quests: None!
What You Need: A Pressure Gauge, Rubber Tube, Oil Can, Fish Food, a bottle of Poison, a Spade, and a Small Key.

The rewards for this runescape quest are not great - although people who like to get as many quest points as possible will surely want to complete this quest as 4 points are on offer.

Ernest Quest Rewards:

4 quest points.
300 coins.

Dragon Slayer Quest Runescape

The Dragon Slayer quest in runescape is possibly the hardest quest that free to play runescape players will have to complete. It was the hardest quest on runescape at one stage, but that was many years ago and the game has undergone immense changes since.

Dragon Slayer Quest Requirements:

32 Quest Points
Must be able to beat Level 83 Dragon (I recommend lvl 50 at least)
Level 34 Smithing (or a friend with 34 Smithing so they can make you Steel Nails)
33 Magic (not needed, but recommended).

This runescape quest also requires plenty of items compared to the normal free to play quests. The required items are:

Lobster Pot (buy at Fishing Store, in port sarim)
Unfired Bowl: (use Water with Soft Clay, go to Potting Wheel and make a Bowl, don't put it in the oven!)
Sheet of Silk: (buy in Clothes Store in Varrock, or buy from Silk Merchant in Al-Kharid. Al-Kharid is cheaper)
Wizard Mind Bomb (buy at Pub in Falador)
Anti Dragon Breath Shield. (You will get this during the quest)
Three Planks (find in the Skeleton Graveyard in Level 21 Wilderness)
90 Steel Nails (One Steel Bar makes 15 Nails, so you will need 6. You need to be Level 34 Smithing to make them.)
Hammer
12K (12,000) GP (2K GP to buy the Boat, and 10K Gold Pieces to bribe Wormbrain to sell you his Map Piece. You do not need the extra 10,000 if you have Level 33 Magic)

The quest itself can be started by speaking to the guild master of the champions guild. This is why 32 quest points are required rather than any specific quests.

The objective of the Dragon Slayer quest is to gather up some map pieces in order to be able to get to the actual dragon. Once you have accomplished this and reached the dragon, you will need to defeat it to complete the quest. A dragonfire shield will definately be required in this battle.

Once the quest has been completed the reward is a decent reward, especially for a free to play quest in runescape.

The reward for the Dragon Slayer quest is:

2 Quest Points
The right to buy/wear Rune Plate Body and Green Dragon hide Body
18,650 Experience in 2 Combat Skills, depending on how you fought the Dragon.

Runescape Demon Slayer Quest

Demon Slayer quest in runescape will enable players to gain an additional sword, the SilverLight. This sword will have the same power as a rune long sword has on free to play when fighting demons. It is therefore useful for low level combat players.

Anyway, this post will give an overview to the demon slayer quest and will not be a walkthrough. Players who wish for a complete walkthrough for this quest can find a couple of guides listed here:

Plenty of choice from those five listed and all pretty much give the same details and provide an adequate walkthrough to help even the most novice player complete the demon slayer quest in runescape.

The quest information overview:
A mighty demon (Delrith) is being summoned to destroy the city of Varrock. You wil find out that you are needed to avert this impending disaster.

Players can start this quest by speaking to the gypsy in Varrock. Players will need to be able to defeat a level 27 demon in runescape and will therefore require some basic combat skills. Combat level of 15+ should suffice, although 10 attack, and strength along with 5 defense is the Zybez suggestion.

Items required:

25 bones
bucket of water
1 coin

Quest Reward:

3 quest points
Silverlight Sword

As already mentioned, the affects of the silverlight sword in runescape is that it has similar power to a rune long sword when fighting a demon. If players lose their silverlight sword and are on free to play, they can buy another one from Sir Prysin for 500gp. The sword is not tradeable as it is a quest item.

This runescape quest is quite easy and straight forward, but for low level combat people it may prove to be a challenge - so ensure you have food and armour to reduce possible risks when fighting Delrith

Doric's Quest Runescape

Doric's quest in runescape is one of the most novice quests available in the game. It is generally one that many players complete before realising they have finished it, yes it really is that straightforward.

Anyway, since this blog will eventually document all the quests in runescape it stands to reason to include this one pretty early on, even though most people will not need any help to do this, they may as well know the requirements and general information along with the rewards.

Quest Information:
To start the quest simply go to Doric's Anvil and speak to the man himself. He is located just opposite the members gate north of Falador.

Level 15 mining is suggested rather than being a requirement, although it can not harm anyone if they do want to train their mining for this.

Items Required:

A pickaxe
6 clay ores
4 copper ores
2 iron ores

The quest rewards are:

180gp
1,300 mining experience
1 quest point
Access to Doric's Anvils.

If any player is level15 mining already then the quest can be completed within a matter of minutes - it just depends how long it would take you to travel up to Doric's Anvils. Jagex have obviously included this quest in runescape to ensure they have covered the full spectrum of abilities.

Runescape Cook's Assistant Quest

Cook's Assistant quest in runescape is one of the easiest and most straightforward quests available in the game. It is an old school quest that has been about for what seems like forever. It is a free to play quest and so all runescape players can choose to do this if they wish.

This is an overview of the quest description and the potential reward. Players who wish to have a quest walkthrough to help them can find some related walkthroughs after the description.

Quest Outline:
The Lumbridge Castle Cook is in a mess. It is the Duke of Lumbridge's birthday and the Cook is making the Cake. He needs a lot of Ingredients and doesn't have much time.

Players start this quest by speaking to the Duke of Lumbridge at Lumbridge Castle.

Quest Reward:

1 quest point
300 cooking experience

Overall, this quest is quite short in nature and is rated Novice by Jagex. If players wish for a walkthrough they can find a couple of walkthroughs listed below:

Black Knights Quest

Runescape quests for free to play members have been around since the days of runescape classic. Jagex have said that they are concentrating on continually improving the features for runescape members rather than free to play people.

As a business, this makes sense to focus on those who are paying a monthly subscription. However, the free to play runescape quests still present some usefulness to non-subscribers and still require new players to complete if they wish to gain all the benefits. Many of these quests are quite simple and many players like to try them out without the use of guides.

The black knights quest basic requirements are listed below in order to give players a chance to do the quest without having a walkthrough or spoiler ruin their adventures.

Black Knights Quest:

Players can start this quest by going to Falador Castle and speaking with Sir Amik Varze who is located on the second floor within the castle.

Requirements:

12 quest points
Ability to defend from level 31 Black Knights

Items Needed:

Iron Chain Mail
Bronze Medium Helmet
1 cabbage (from draynor manor)

The rewards from this quest are:

2500 gp
3 quest points

Runescape Quest Help Update

Runescape creators Jagex updated the quest help system on 13th March that has included 5 new quests into their database. This will obviously be helpful to numerous players when doing the quests, however, it is too late for a large number of players as they have already completed the quests that were put into the database.

The latest runescape quests added into the quest help system were:

Jagex will continue adding quests into the runescape quest help system and will eventually be adding them almost as soon as the quests are released. This will undoubtedly help many future players and is sure to be well received within the playing community.

RuneScape Questhelp Beta

Currently the questhelp system being offered by Jagex is in its Beta stages.

I tried to check it out but I wasn't currently active in any of the quests covered so I can't really report on its effectiveness. However, there are likely to be a lot of people that are unaware of its existence and therefore I decided to mention it here.

For players unware of how to find this feature, and maybe gain some benefits from, it can found by navigating to the quest section of the manual and scrolling down to you see the further help section. Players will need to log in to be able to get their information showing.

Hopefully this will help some people that do not find suitable help from any existing runescape helpsites.

Quests for Attack Experience

Quests for Agility Experience

The following quests should be done if you are wanting to maximse the bonus Agility experience given for quests:

1. Cabin Fever gives 7000 Agility experience
2. Fremennik Trials give 2812.4 Agility experience
3. Icthlarin's Little Helper will get you 4000 Agility experience
4. Legends Quest can give 7650 Agility or up to 30600 agility experience depending if you decide to use all 4 rewards to boost up this skill
5. Mourning's End Part II (The Temple Of Light) will give 20000 Agility experience
6. One Small Favour between 10000-20000 Agility if you have at least level 30 agility experience and decide to use the 2 lamps to raise this skill
7. Recipe for Disaster can give 20000 Agility experience provided you have at least level 50 agility and decide to use it to boost this skill
8. Regicide gives 13750 Agility experience
9. Recruitment Drive will give 1000 Agility experience
10. Royal Trouble will give 5000 Agility experience
11. Saving Awowogei gains 10000 Agility experience in addition to giving access to the Monkey Agility course
12. The Grand Tree quest will give you 7900 Agility experience
13. Tourist Trap can net between 4650-9300 Agility experience if you choose to boost this skill
14. Troll Romance will net you 8000 Agility experience
15. Underground Pass quest will give you 3000 Agility experience

Overall, currently 15 quests in Runescape will be able to benefit your Agility skill should you wish to take advantage of them. In total, a member can earn 162362.4 agility experience if they decide to use all the lamps to boost the skill and that they have level 50 agility prior to completing the Recipe for Disaster quest.

Quests and their role

Quests for some people are a welcome break from laborious tasks of raising skills. There are equally high numbers of players who detest questing as there are who thoroughly enjoy the experience.

In runescape, quests normally bring more to the overall gaming experience due to the fact that they generally open up new areas to explore or introduce new items into the game.

On the whole, there have been many pointless quests and all too often a load of items get released into the game and become pretty obsolete after the quest has been finished. If only Jagex made a point of introducing items that served a useful purpose, and maybe concentrated on utilising more of the existing items without introducing more pointless ones.

New areas are always nice to see and normally do receive a lot of attention for a while after a quest is completed, although a lot of areas do still become abandoned and pointless, especially if they are located in a difficult to reach location.

My personal view is that although I have enjoyed some of the quests, both long and short quests, it is often frustrating when after completing a quest that there is not much point to it.
